I’m Amberlyn, a destination photographer and retreat host who believes confidence is something you build by showing up and doing the work, not by chasing perfection.
After years of photographing weddings and working alongside other creatives, I began to see a pattern. Talent was never the issue. What was missing was the opportunity to practice in real environments with guidance that felt steady and encouraging. Knowledge was there, but confidence often hadn’t had the chance to take root.
That understanding is what shaped the retreats and workshops I now host. These experiences are thoughtfully designed to slow the pace and allow learning to happen through real, unscripted moments. They allow space for questions, and growth without pressure or expectation.
I approach this work with care and intention, creating spaces where photographers can focus on growth without distraction. I’ve seen how much confidence can build when learning happens in close-knit settings that encourage exploration rather than comparison. Wherever you’re starting from, the goal is for you to leave feeling inspired and confident in your ability to create.

The workshop with Amberlyn was seriously SO amazing!! She split us into groups for each session and she let us photographers do our own thing and I loved that! I’ve been to other workshops/styled shoots where the host directed a lot of the shots and we didn’t get to create the shots we wanted to as much. I would absolutely go to another one of Amberlyn’s workshops and she has inspired me to try and maybe host my own workshops in the future 🤩

This was my first content retreat and I was hesitant to book (slow season is rough) but Amberlyn makes this SO worth your money I just knew I couldn’t pass it up. There was a casual and bridal couple at EVERY location which makes it super versatile for whoever your target audience is. She is a joy to work with and is the ultimate problem solver. The models and details were chefs kiss as well. This was worth every penny plus more, could not recommend enough!!

Amberlyn puts on incredible workshops. She goes above and beyond with florals, props, and dresses. So many hosts put on workshops and simply bring models to a pretty location, and sell too many tickets, making it hard to actually photograph the models. Her shootouts are intimate, fun, and so well thought out.
I’d absolutely go to another one of her workshops. She fit six different couples and three stunning locations into one day of shooting. The entire day was so fun, and at no point did I feel rushed. She’s great at what she does. If you’re looking to get stunning content in a new place, keep an eye out for her workshops!
